Parts of areas that one makes their way through daily rarely stand out until one day when something stands out, clearly out of place, or a bit odd. So it was with this building on Belgrade Ave. in West Roxbury. It is oddly placed, tucked in between Belgrade, the commuter rail line and a private home. It is oddly shaped, with multiple roof pitches, roof heights in a chimney. And it is oddly non-descript, with no name, business sign or any other origin to its history clearly available. The more I worked with the photo for the final pieces, the more it beguiled my imagination and peaked my curiosity. Do you know this building's history? Please reach out!
