In late-June / early-July 2026, orange "Demand More" activist messages started appearing on Boston's Southwest Corridor, which I regularly use for getting to and from downtown. I was instantly inspired by this message, and created my first couple pieces, mimicking the style of the text and the asphalt surface with watercolor and gouache.
A couple weeks after I made my first works, cyclist and advocate Louisa Gag was killed by a truck while on her bike, making this call to action less a suggestion and more an imperative.
