During early COVID, when New England travel restrictions abounded, my spouse and I focused our travel in-state and "discovered" the Berkshires, including the city of Pittsfield, MA. On one trip, a yellow bucket from the local hardware store was visible on a roof across from our hotel window. I liked the contrast of the bright yellow against the brick, and sketched it first in colored pencil, then did a separate version as a collage.
