This series happened, in part, by accident. On a trip to Australia in 2023, our flight was cancelled and we ended up with two extra days in Sydney. On one of the days, where there was not a cloud in the sky, we walked around Sydney Harbour, making to Hornby Lighthouse. Based on the number of folks bringing their easels with them, the area is a popular destination for plein aire painting.
All three of the works were done after returning home, working from a photo of the lighthouse.
